75th Anniversary Celebration

Schedule of Events for Hillcrest Alumni

Friday, October 4, 2013

8:00 am

  • Panther Golf Classic, Tenison Highlands

3:00 pm

  • Pep Rally in the HHS Auditorium
  • Park on the surface streets around school. Parking will be limited in the Aberdeen and Franklin Field lots 

4:30 pm

  • Alumni assemble for the Parade of Classes and Homecoming Parade
  • Park on the surface streets around school. There will be a few spots in the west end of the Aberdeen lot and the south end of the Franklin Field lot.
  • Line up in groups by class, oldest first
  • Volunteers will direct alumni where to go and pass out signs
  • Vintage Cars line up on Aberdeen (backed into parking spaces)

5:00 pm

  • Enjoy being a part of the Homecoming Parade!

6:00 pm

  • Tailgating begins in the Franklin Field parking lot.
  • There will be food available for purchase

7:30 pm

  • Homecoming game: HHS vs. TJ

11:00 am Assembly in the Auditorium

  • Check in at tables in the foyer. Try to sit with your class. Talk as much as you want to! The Assembly program will include congratulations to Hillcrest on its 75th Anniversary from: District 2 Trustee Mike Morath,DISD, Hon. Jennifer Staubach Gates, Former DISD School Sup’t Linus Wright, Hon. Adam Medrano
  • Please join the Hillcrest High School Band, Panaders, Cheerleaders, and ROTC Color Guard in: The Pledge of Allegiance, Hillcrest Alma Mater, Star-Spangled Banner and the Hillcrest Fight Song
  • Announcements are always a part of Assembly, and the 75th Anniversary Steering Committee is happy to announce the


12:00 to 4:00  LUNCH! And RECESS!

  • LUNCH will be available from our wonderful collection of food trucks on the Aberdeen side of school. Or you can bring a picnic and settle into the lunchroom tables on the lawn.
  • RECESS is going to be great fun. Aberdeen will be closed for the STREET DANCE. We promise a dee-jay who will play YOUR music.
  • Send the kids (or grandkids) to the BOUNCE HOUSE.
  • Want to play? Head for the Boys Gym for BASKETBALL. Or the Girls Gym for VOLLEYBALL. Or the baseball diamond for SOFTBALL.
  •  Want to HANG OUT? Your decade of Panthers will have its own spot for visiting. Just ask one of our friendly volunteers where to go.
